Consumers of Microsoft products have complained about annoying ads for the company's services. This is reported by BleepingComputer.
Media journalists drew attention to the remarks of users who noticed advertising banners in Microsoft services. Many consumers have reported that intrusive advertising has attacked them in Office 2021 office software applications. The banner is located at the top of the interface, with its help, the corporation promotes a Microsoft 365 family subscription.
According to experts, employees of the American corporation are dissatisfied with the new advertising, among others. So, the chief security architect of Microsoft Azure Security Lee Holmes posted on his Twitter a screenshot of the Word application, on which the banner is visible, with the comment "This is so disappointing."
The authors of the publication noticed that advertising blocks mislead users, since their appearance coincides with the design of Office 2021 system messages. Microsoft representatives have not officially commented on the problem.
This is not the first time that Microsoft services advertising is noticed in the company's popular products. So, in March, Windows 11 users found advertising blocks in the Explorer program — later, representatives of the corporation called the appearance of advertising an error.
